Cougars go by many names: mountain lion, catamount, panther, red tiger, deer tiger, and puma. This big cat occurs throughout much of North and South America, but is primarily seen in the Western United States. Their prey mainly consists of deer, but they'll also go for mice and rabbits in a pinch. Their sense of smell is quite poor, but they but have excellent vision and hearing, which helps them hunt in the early morning and evening hours. Their powerful hind legs enable them to jump as far as 40 to 45 feet as they pounce on prey.

But rest assured that this plush version won't be pouncing on you. Quite the opposite really.
